Soon to be joining the ranks of Louisiana truckers, I would like to know some details about over the road.

If there is anyone out there who can tell me if I start on with a southeast region trucking company, where might my options be to travel to and what companys, if any, near Lafayette La., travel west out as far as the west coast? Also how is the trucking industry, in your opinion, surviving the increase in fuel cost and do the companys themselves pay for the fuel by means of gas cards or other means?
