How show nuclear energy is irresponsible since storage costs for deadly wastes ped to 8,000 generations?

We recycle everything else, why not spent fuel rods? If they can enrich it, they can recycle it. Especially if it's good for billions of years. Nuclear energy isn't incredibly irresponsible, government regulation is. Coal fired power plants are incredibly irresponsible. But we have enough coal to raise the global temperature a few hundred degrees. Consider this, uranium comes from the Earth, so what's so costly about putting it back? And at the rate we're spraying depleted uranium munitions around Iraq, and Afghanistan, shouldn't take too long to get rid of it.
